Welcome to the Department of Textile Engineering (DTE), Northern University Bangladesh (NUB). Northern University Bangladesh (NUB) has endeavoured to spread the light of education throughout the country on disciplines parallel to the modern world. The Department of Textile Engineering (DTE) is one such endeavour at NUB. DTE strives to achieve the goals and objectives of the NUB. The textile sector continues to develop and make many advances. The department was founded in 2009 to meet the need for skilled engineers who can lead the industry. The department and its 40 permanent faculty members strive not only to teach students but also to expose them to new knowledge about conventional and smart textiles. Our campus is well equipped with technology-focused teaching aids, and all of our science labs offer excellent research opportunities for both students and faculty. Since COVID-19 started its global horror, our university has pursued online education using several online tools, such as the NUB E-Learning Platform, Zoom, Google Classroom, and other social media platforms. The students regularly involve themselves in extracurricular activities. The department has several clubs, such as the NUB Textile Society, NUB Textile Career Counselling and Job Placement Club, NUB Textile Cultural Club, NUB Textile Art & Photography Club, NUB Textile Debate & Public Speaking Club, NUB Textile Sports Club, NUB Textile Environment & Earth Club, NUB Textile Language Club, NUB Textile Research & Publications Club, and NUB Textile Social Service Club.
